"Paillonnage" is an ornamental technique that's almost three hundred years old. It involves using tiny pieces of gold leaf or "paillons" to create a raised design which is then coated in a layer of enamel to make it colourful, glossy and translucent. Burgundy enamel beams with sunray guillochage on the dial of this unique piece donated to the Only Watch charity and up for auction in Geneva on November 7th. Surrounded by a yellow gold ring with three screws, the hour rim unfurls its Roman numerals and black minute track on a white disc. Two yellow gold hour and minute hands and the 68-hour power reserve are brought to life by the 2653P calibre. Found an 18ct DD model 1803 from 1978. It is on a rolex leather strap the asking price is ?3,600.00 which is approx. $5,490 USit is in excellent condition and genuine, black dial with 18ct indices and hands2 questions 1: would this model have a sapphire crystal or acrylic, glass2: The watch is in excellent condition and genuine but is it a fair priceComments would be very much appreciated

115200 Black dial Steel Date Price New
My Rolex AD has an 115200 Black dial Steel Date with box selling for $4200. It seems like a very good price and I'm trying to decide if I should get it. It has the engraved Bezel and he said it just has not sold for several years so they are selling just to move it. The Rolex warranty has expired so I get a 3 year store warranty. It seems like a good deal I just don't know if I'm missing something.
