GMT II 16710 and the new 3186 movement
Most of us know that Rolex slipped the new 3186 movement into the old GMT II model and used "stick" numerals versus "roman numerals" on the dial along with the "Wiggle test" that identifies the 3186 from the 3185. Tahoeblue orginally described these appearing in the all black bezel and the Pepsi bezel models. (See anomaly article on minus4plus6). The question remains, as to whether the 3186 was ever documented as being placed in the the Coke (Maroon and Black) bezel version of the 16710? Has anyone seen this combination? Just curious!
