Seiko SUP024 wrist watches news:
Based on a simple 1930s model from the Stowa archives, the Partitio Black Automatic retains much of the understated functional design that began to gain popularity at that time. Moreover, the slim proportions – 37 mm in diameter and about 11 mm in thickness – are a breath of fresh air for those who prefer more discreet and wearable watches. At just under $725, the three-hand watch with black dial and an unfussy case design presents good value relative to other vintage-inspired models with ebauche movements on the market today. 2 OF 8 The 37 mm stainless steel case features linear lugs. The Partitio Black Automatic follows the same Bauhaus design ethos as another watch we reviewed in the last column, The Nomos Tangente. The hallmarks of Bauhaus design (and good design in general), most notably a symbiosis between form and function, are on full display with this model.Additionally, a great attention to detail has been paid to the typesetting and typefaces u
I'm in the market for a new watch and I just can't bring myself to even look at quartz watches. I just don't consider them to be a real watch. I know very little about watches but have always felt that for me a watch was a meticulously made micro machine packed into a small piece of art (to a greater or lessor degree) that you wear on your wrist. I've always just associated quartz watches with being cheap little motor driven time displays (even though I know that's a long way from true). I'm just not interested, is that wrong.

ok I know this is a Patek forum so opinion might be biased but I still want to hear you all comment on this.. Patek or RM?this is a tough choice for me since they are about the same price and they all look stunning in person, unfortunately I can only take one of them.any inputs are welcome
Gents,Pleased to report my latest. The 1392. My relationship has been long and frustrating with OP. I've owned many models and subsequently flipped many models, like all of them. I just love the look (crown guard / sandwich / strap options etc) but mostly wind up thinking they are too thick or top heavy etc. maybe this is the one. Thinner, I'd say maybe 3-4mm from 392. The blue seconds hand may be polarizing but I like it and don't think changing straps would be negatively impacted from a touch of blue at all. Vintage lume - whatever, I'd maybe choose the white from 392 if I had to choose but it's just not a deal breaker for me and the smaller case is the number one factor for me. I'm hoping this solves my OP dilemma as I really want one in the stable. Hope it sticks this time. Prior models owned for those still reading 164, 25, 359, 298, 392, 512, and 535.
