Ebel 1215879 wrist watches news:
There is something comical about just how busy Fortis made this B-47 Calculator watch. Even the name is silly. When you hear the term "calculator watch" you immediately think of something digital quartz, and Japanese. I've had calculator watches when I was a kid. I loved those. I wouldn't wear them today as I am a grown up, and I don't know if I would wear this comically designed watch either. With enough stuff going on to make a weak-minded person tremble. "I just wanted to know what time it was.The fact that the 47mm wide steel case frames what is in actuality a tiny dial for the time is even more funny/cute to me. "Aww, look how Fortis managed to fit in those time hands. Just the normal sized ones!" A full GMT watch dial on a large watch, in miniature. I didn't think that I would ever say that, but I did. Fortis is aware that this is a quirky (to say the least) model - and because of that the B-47 Calculator is strictly a limited edition (or 2012 pieces). Seriously, with all the wat
AllI am new to this forum and after reading some of the information on here it sounds like im in goods regarding Hamilton concerns. I am extremely interested in the Hamilton Khaki Automatic, Serial#77515153 but have been unable to locate it as Hamilton no longer makes. Ive found a few places online that sell that have told me they are out of stock, but also in this online search have found several fake/replica pieces that leads me to wonder if any site is legit? Anyway, the watch is currently being auctioned on ebay and my concern is that it is not authentic. Researching online I found the same model to have a diferent looking gear setup through the see through back so am skeptical but desperate for this piece. Any suggestions as to whether or not it is an authentic would be much appreciated, and if you know anyone selling this piece let me. Great to join this forum! With so much of the Royal Oak's beauty lying in its perfectly finished surfaces and facets, one must be reasonably careful to not introduce his watch to too many walls or tables. But at the same time, you've got to enjoy your watch and not sweat it too much... My question is: are there any parts of the RO that one should be particularly careful with? Parts that, if scuffed, are harder to restore come time for servicing? Or does servicing tend to eliminate just about any scuffs anywhere?

Just find it a little weird that my day and date sometime change over at 12.20a something change over at 12.40a... is this normal? I thought since this is a mechanical watch, shouldn't the date/day change at the same time everyday? Feeling confused.Should I be worried?Thx! Cheers! Jen
