I'm sure this won't be news to anybody in herebut it was news to me. Some of you guys know that I'm currently going through and letting go of a whole bunch of watches my dad left me some 20 years ago now. I've been busy trying to figure out what they are and setting appropriate prices on them. Thanks to those of you in here that have helped me identify a few of them.In any case, I finally broke into the pocket watch box. I've always had a special thing for pocket watches and wore one (an Illinois) all through high school in my Levi 501's watch pocket. Looking at the time always made me feel good while wearing that watch.So, I start identifying the complete and running watches firsta few Elgins and another Illinois. The Elgins are easy but I can't get the back off the Illinois (screw back, maybe cross threaded). After identifying them I start researching the going prices and find.......Pocket watches are almost a dime a dozen. Oh, I'm sure that there are those "rare finds" that
