Ebel 2754 wrist watches news:
I have owned a 16233 datejust and a 14060M sub but having recently sold the sub I am looking at buying a "d" series explorer 1 but after reading Walt Odet's review of some years ago I am scared. So here are a few questions: 1. Does the 14270 use the 3130 calibre movement? if so, isn't that the same as the 14040M movement? respected Watchmaker Nicholas Hacko in Sydney, Australia has had some criticism of the explorer's movement. Odet said that the explorer is a great $800 watch..and anyone who buys one is buying the "name and status" only as there are lots of far better performing watches out there. I assume that the Marcello Nettuno would fit into that category. I really need some guidance here as I dont want to waste my money..but with a small wrist the Explorer seems to fit my wrist better..and to be frank..I have never gone deeper than 6 feet in the sea!! 2. Would those who know on this Forum recommend an Explorer? I cant afford the new 40mm version so this is my only re
This was my dad's watch which I recently found in a drawer. My best guess is that it is from the late 60's, but I really can't nail down the date on ebay or through Google. On the back, there is a number 1318 and the metal band says USA on each link.I know it isn't worth anything, but it would nice to put a date to the watch. It actually still runs quite nicely.Thanks.
Hey I did a few searches here, didn't find what I was looking for. I'm wondering as to what the differences are with the different IWC Mark style watches. IIRC there is a X all the way XVI Is there one in particular that has a better reputation? A rep of being not as good as others? Can someone point me in a good direction for info on these watches? Thanks in advance.
I was reading this from the internet, it shows an AP ROO without the Offshore wording from the back. Is it even possible?.watchcollectinglifestyle..../13/experience
Dear all,I was offered to buy the attached vintage Navitimer (see pics). Apparently the original owner was a pilot and it was quite heavily used. He dropped it resulting in a broken spring (?). Looking things up on the internet, I guess it is a 1965 AOPA Navitimer. I was wondering what you all thing about it. Does the watch appear legit and what would be a fair price if repaired? Thanks,Boris
