At Baselworld this year, Movado showed its all-new collection of men’s automatic watches. The 1881 Automatic Collection combines familiar Movado design characteristics with elements of the brand’s revamped look ¨C all with a reliable Swiss movement inside.The 1881 Automatic is a three-hand watch with a date display at 6 o’clock. Tissot SeaStar 1000 Review
A few days ago, I promised GrumpyGuy that I'd write a brief review of the Tissot SeaStar 1000 with the (somewhat) new Powermatic 80 movement. In the interest of full disclosure, I need to tell you that I'm not a review writing kind of guy, but since I promised...Tissot has been around for a while. 162 years if my aging eyes read the dial text correctly. While I'm not familiar with their historical designs, some of their recent offerings have caught my eye. Of particular interest is the newly refreshed Seastar.The old model appealed to me as a nice entry level diver but having several entry level pieces from other brands, I never pulled the trigger. Then last May, Ariel Adams wrote a piece on his excellent website, ABlogToWatch titled "Tissot Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 Watch Hands-On: Upgrades Increase The Want".
