Ebel 1976M22/98500 wrist watches news:
or, in classic Rocky & Bullwinkle alternate title fashion: How to take advantage of a sucker.I hope the manufacturers don't read this, because they'll have me at their mercy. Recently while taking stock of some watches, past and present, I realized there was a common trait to many of my self-winding watches which I never even thought about before. See if you can guess what that is from these photos:
Hi, it's been a while since I posted a watch, so here's an unusual vinatge pocket watch made by 'Brevet', the watch has an enamel face and a window at the back containing a card with three photographs one being King Edward VII, the card seems to be loose and you can move it around by moving the watch, however I'm wondering if it is supposed to rotate with the watch movement?I've been told the watch does actually work, however the crown has been lost so I cannot wind it up to see.I've been told this watch is from 1911, howeevr as Edward died in 1910, I'm not sure whether it is more likely to have been slightly earlier.Any information woudl be appreciated (I've not opened the watch, I was able to swivel the crystal, but I didn't want to force anything as the watch is not mine.)Brevet_Front2.jpgBrevet_Back.jpgBrevet_Front.jpg

These are the two 5140p references available at ADs (or soon-to-be available):The 017 is the 2016 release, with charcoal gray sunburst dial. The 013 is the black dial with diamond markers. Is the new 017 the clear winner here? Which do you prefer and why? Thanks in advance!
After much searching I finally hooked up with this watch, my first Panerai. It was purchased from seanlandaes a trusted seller on the forum. It's a Special Edition from 2000 and only 200 were made. Because of the age I had the watch shipped directly to the watchmaker I use for a complete service and I'm anxiously waiting for it to be finished.I've already bought some straps for it even though I really like the bracelet.I will post a wrist shot when I finally get the watch till then here you go....Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
