just arrived...BIG Meihualu...vintage Chinese...
Well, okay, not that big, but huge and chunky for vintage Chinese......and I considered it a huge hole in my collection, so there's that :DMeihualu (deer? spot deer?) 17 zuan. 39mm width not counting crown; 34/35mm movement and the case is about 45mm lug to lug (so, a touch taller on my wrist than my 44mm M/Militaires).The back isn't the prettiest of the Chinese casebacks I've seen, and it's kinda scratched upbut that doesn't mean I'm not thrilled to have it ;-) Besides, I'll be more careful with it than the last owners, I bet.I don't know much about the movement except that evidently it's a pocket watch movement installed in a wristwatchwhich explains the size of the watch.Here's a wrist shot, just to show the size on my 6.5" wrist.
