I only just discovered this courtesy of The Sporting Life and Lussori -If you want to sell a watch to raise money for a worthy cause, it might as well be an Omega. Here is the skinny on this little beauty:Picture - omegawatches
It's seems like forever since last years racing season ended but Formula One and IRL 2010 seasons start today...whew hoo! It's going to be a good day. Wearing my Jacques Lemans F1 Chronograph F5015B

Stopped into the local Rolex AD who still has my deposit on a SS Daytona, just to check in. Their store doesn't officially carry Patek, but one of the other locations does. She had what I believe was a 5724 with the diamond bezel and baguettes on the clasp. Not my style, but interesting to see. I mentioned something about that limited edition of 600 Patek and she brought one out from the safe. It was the 5522. It's the first two PPs I've seen at this shop. The 5522 was still in a bag, so I couldn't see it that well. The 5724 was really cool in that it has a mini-rotor, so the beautiful back is not obscured so much from view. I thought that was the coolest thing about the watch, but then again, I don't really know anything about them.I didn't take pictures, because I didn't want to look like a tourist.
Yesterday, during our MX Christmas lunch, we stopped by the local Rolex boutique (BIG mistake). Stock was impressive, with MANY options on same dials (ie blue DJ41 SS on jubilee, oyster, flutes and smooth bezels, etc). As we got in, the Daytona display called me. Options...a LOT!Here is the dilemma: I own a YG/leather Daytona which was my grail and took me years to get; yet when I saw the new ceramic....oh boy. Question: should adding this would make sense or is it too similar? Thank you all!(Watch on right, I already own...should I add the one on the left? BTW, watch on right looks much better than in pics)
