Ebel 9157915-4236709 wrist watches news:
Here's a couple of Wadsworth brand watches. I believe that the wadsworth brand is also associated with supplying cases to other parties. What attracted me were the unusual fancy lugs. They are both powered by Swiss AS 7 jewels 984 movements.P1250940.jpgP1330693.jpgP1330706.jpg
I want to introduce you to a wonderful watchmaker based in Germany. His fantastic custom work is some of the best I have seen and are truly works of art. I have copied some information from his website. The photo's below are pictures of some commission work that he has done, he also does "production orders" but, from what I see they are limited runs and only made on demand. With that said all information and photos are property of Timekeeper Chronometer Germany.TIMEKEEPER - 1/4 Repeater with Chronograph UNIQUE - Special development on client demand (t009) TIMEKEEPER special production with a perfect, historical movement from 1900. Found this on ebaylink: KNOTTED LUG SOLID 14K GOLD 40S VINTAGE LONGINESThought it was an interesting piece, and just curious on to how rare these are and what types of prices these normally go for. Thanks!
Any information about that?!Thanking in advance?
A friend of mine more or less gave me a Raymond Weil Parisfal W1 quartz, same as below but with a blue dial:It was not working so I figured it was just the battery. Opened the case, saw some corrosion from the old battery, and tried replacing it anyways. It still didn't work. I noticed that the movement looked very basic and simple.I took it to a jeweler who quoted me $95 with labor to replace the movement. I have not been able to identify what the movement is so I don't know if this is a good price or not. It looked simple enough that I could do it myself. But to me it's not worth it to do myself if my price to buy the movement is close to the jeweler's all-in price. What is Watch Talk's take?
