I was asked to write an article making an "argument for Rolex watches." This was to be in response to an article which was an "argument against Rolex watches." Now, understand I didn't know what the argument against Rolex watches was going to be, so I simply needed to make a broad and effective argument in favor of the world's most ubiquitous luxury watch. For what ever you can say against Rolex, a ridiculous amount of owners and fans can't be that wrong. I wouldn't go so far as to say Rolex could be the only watch brand you need to look at, but they do have a lot of merit.Like I said, my argument was constructed for all types of people to understand. If you read the comments after the articles, some people got irked that my articles didn't delve deep into some of the more technical or historical aspects of the argument. I appreciate their sentiments, but they need to realize that the article was intended to appeal to people who didn't know or care about what was inside of a watch move
Can you recommend good place to buy Paneria watch?where can you get good deal/best price?would you shop on line or is it to risky?thanks for your help
I was just given two "old" watches by my wife's mother and I am having trouble identifying one of them. I tried several times, with two different cameras, to take pictures, but failed horribly every time. The first watch is an Arly, Swiss made, with 21 Rubies and Incabloc. It seems to be a daily winder, with the date in place of the 3. I found a website arlywatch.de and emailed them asking for information, but it has been over a week without a response. Here is link to a picture of an Arly watch very similar to the one I have, however, again, the one I have shows the date and the face has gold lines running straight across, from the 1-7, 3-9 & 5-11. (http://arlywatch.de/deutsch/zeitreise/pic/1968-01.jpg) Does anyone know anything about this watch or watch company? I read what I could off their site using Google Translator, but I was unable to find any other info. Also, the watch (case, face, etc) seems to be in a very good condition, but it is missing the band. The other watch
not so easy to tell from the dial strange to many but maybe understood here....took this pic when working at home before a vacation. had to spend time with a few pieces not making the trip since i'd miss them.
