14060M Question
Is the Sub 14060M still being made or was it discontinued? I read somewhere that it was going to be sold till 2010?If it was discontinued, when did that occur?There is a little story that goes with these questions. In 1985 I was with my brother buying watches. He bought a Rolex no date and I bought a Tudor Prince Oyster because I wanted the date function. The Tudor was also 200 dollars cheaper and I knew nothing about watches and watch brands. Since then I have been kicking myself for not buying the Rolex. So if that watch is still available I might just buy the watch I should have bought almost 25 years ago.Thanks,Bezel

I couldn't find this one in any of Tom's Catalog uploads, but it kind of looks like an early 60's Thin-O-Matic. Any ideas? Thanks!Bob

I stopped by my local AD yesterday to try on SS Daytona with the white face. Well no shocker they didn't have one in. So the lady behind the counter asks if I am familiar with AP. I say yes and we walk over to the AP counter. She pulls out a SS ROC with the white face... I think I am in love... I had just reached a point where the 12K on the Daytona was sounding like a good idea, but I think if I go that route now I will be left wanting. sorry for the bad pic

Observations from a (relatively) new member
I have liked watches since I was in junior high and got a nice quartz Seiko from my father for Christmas in about 1983. I had gotten several quartz Hamilton watches as gifts from my wife over the years until I graduated from college and my mother gave me the gift of:I liked it because it was in the James Bond movie and I wore this quartz watch as my daily for many years. It seems like the bezel may have faded over time- now I know that ¡°patina¡± is something y¡¯all like :)As a complete surprise Christmas present, my wife put this in my stocking:Over time I came to be of the opinion that this was the perfect watch with a simple elegance that just couldn¡¯t be improved on, kind of the MacBook of the watch world.
