I am thinking of purchasing a 1930's Marvin Watch. It is represented as having a new/reconditioned dial, hands and case. The movement as authentic. The following is on the movement: #871, 16 Jewels, 4 Adjustments, Breguet HSPG, Swiss Made. I would appreciate any opinions about the authenticity of the movement.Thank youTonymarvin001-28z.jpgmarvin001-17.jpg
Can anyone recommend a good book about watches? I'm after one that is serious but aimed at the beginner. Should cover how they work, different types, history, regions (swiss, japanese etc), and some brands.I found The Watch by Gene Stone on Amazon, has anyone read it? Is it a good one? Any other recommendations?
