Franck Muller 9800 CC QP B wrist watches news:
As an watches-dealer guest, Hugh Taylor from Xupeswatches-dealer (a pre-owned watches and luxury goods dealer in the UK) interviews their in-house master watchmaker, Mickey Nolan, as he proceeds to service and dissemble this famous work-horse mechanical movement - the caliber 3135 by Rolex - which is found in a series of watches, including the Submariner. Mr. Nolan offers some interesting insights into the movement and a fantastic look at what many watch lovers can appreciate in theory, but don't always know as intimately as a watchmaker who deals with them on a regular basis.Last week, for the first time, I chewed the fat with seasoned watchmaker Michael (Mickey) Nolan as he whipped apart a Rolex Submariner 3135 movement. Despite blogging about watches for a year now, this was my first time inside one. As well as hoping to get to grips with how it all works, I was keen to explore a professional¡¯s thoughts on a bread-and-butter Rolex and to find out how he feels it holds up alongside i
Hey guys ! ! !I was in Best Buy today, wanted to pick up a new wireless mouse because the old one had broken. I spent about 10 minutes picking out the one that I wanted and I was about to leave the store when I walked down the computer isle. This HUGE screen caught my eye so I stopped to take a better look. The screen on this honey is a WHOPPING 23 inches and is a TOUCH SCREEN just like an i-phone or you can use it just like a regular computer ! ! ! The ENTIRE thing is wireless, no wires on the keyboard or the mouse. The screen resolution is SUPERB ! ! ! I played with it for around half an hour then pulled the trigger ! ! ! Rushed home to set it up and I started surfing ebay for watches. I have bought a few dials in the recent past that looked VERY nice in the supplied pictures but upon arrival and under a 10 power loupe I saw a hairline or two so the purchase was a bad decision. From now on that is a thing of the past ! ! ! ! ! The dial on an ebay auction might show up at 4-5 inches o
What I will take tomorrow for some driving, a driver's watch:I wished that I would also own one of these old beauties from Horch, Wanderer and Audi. The background is the Horch/Audi museum in Zwickau (Germany). A dream for every fan of vintage cars. It's an amazing museum where they have rebuild complete scenes with streets and shops where the cars are "parked" infront of them. The illusion would be complete if the visitors would also wear vintage clothes.
I finally purchased my first AP a 26400so 44 steel/ceramic about 2 weeks ago and almost instantly noticed my chrono was stopping and the watch had power reserve issues. Being the watch was BNIB, it's a bit irritating to have to send it off to AP Clearwater for repair and wait a few weeks. AP told me the chrono module had an issue and was causing the issues. My question is why are these 3126 movements having issues on new watches? I've read a post recently with a member who had a similar issue on the new 44 RG. Has AP upgraded anything to prevent this issue? Im told a master watchmaker is going to repair the chrono module vs replace due to backorder of parts. Hopefully it comes back fully functional so I can enjoy my first AP!
Anyone know what's supposed to happen 2/29?
