219 Kukulkan Watch
Three Swiss guys were drunk one night after partying and they came up with this watch model and brand idea. I am not making that up, that is what the press release clearly says. Their combined intoxicated intelligence seemed to agree that it was their personal mission in life to realize the first ever high-end watch borne out of pre-Columbian Latin American culture.The trio drew influence from things they had seen in Mexico and chose to focus on ancient Mayan culture. Of the most provocative elements of ancient Mayan culture is their calendar and view of how the world began (and will end). All that was just too cool for the bored young men so they decided to make the watch in honor of Kukulkan - the feathered snake (guy) of Mayan lore.A pyramid in now Mexico is built to honor Kukulkan. There are engraved statues of his image there. An image that is replicated on the Kulkulkan watch on the dial and the back in high relief. Raymond Weil question
So i stopped at a store today to browse some watches and i was really drawn to a few Raymond Weil watches. The gentleman who helped me said to me that if i had an opportunity to buy a RW watch, i should absolutely do it. He said the quality was superb and that if RW ever decided to do some real marketing, the prices would quickly spike. I was curious what you all thought. is this just a sales pitch, or are the watches well worth the money? thanks for the help.

Borrowed image...Just saw this on Instagram had to share it...I think the grey strap amalgamates with the rose goldaesthetics flawlessly...for many of us here it's gonna be a longtedious wait until AP comes out with a regular production RG bezel for the 44mm...

If a white dial PO and a black dial PO had a baby:
Picked up this modded PO 8500 a few days ago. Left the factory white dial/white bezel and the owner also bought a grey bezel from a black dial and had it put on the white dial making a striking mod. The original white bezel was included in the sale.Started life something like this:Now looks like this:Let's look at thickness. 5980/1A on band?
Love the 5980R, however I am afraid the RG isn't suitable to wear daily for work. Thus the alternative leaves me with the SS 5980 however that is only available on bracelet and I much prefer the leather band. I presume that I can swap a leather band for the bracelet (like on the 5726). Does anyone have pictures of the 5980/1A on band?If possible, would I then just order the new band and deployment from an AD or is there a better route to go? Have to imagine the band and deployment won't be cheap. Thanks in advance!
