Michele MWW06P000122 wrist watches news:
When I got my first Rolex a few years ago, an F-series Datejust, Cal. 3135, it was the first mechanical watch I¡¯d had after a long period of using battery-powered watches. In order to compare the accuracy of the Rolex to these accurate watches, I kept for a while a frequent record of the time accuracy of the Datejust as compared to a reference time signal, that is, its time deviation. I thought the community might be interested in the results. The attached figure shows my measurements of deviation over a period of about 14 months, with readings taken every day or every few days. My reference was the either the coordinated universal time given at ¡°time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5¡±, or the WWV radio time. I¡¯ve compared the two and found them extremely close. In a test like this, though, it¡¯s more important to use the same reference consistently than to get a single, absolutely precise reference. I believe my deviation measurements are accurate to about half a second. Each measure
As a lover of watches as well as cars the Bentley 6.75 Speed was a natural choice for me. I feel it has a exquisite level of swiss craftsmanship combined with alot of intricate automotive derived details. There are many other nice watches out there that i would love to own but this will be one that is very special to me. I specified the stainless steel case and silver face...I also ended up ordering a blue padded leather strap with the Deployment buckle for a little added flash ;) I am not much for bracelets on larger watches as i feel they tend to be a little distracting from other details, also my design background finds it more interesting to mix colors and materials. here is a quick mock up of what the watch will look likeif anyone in here knows the actual difference between the previous 6.75 and the 6.75 Speed i would appreciate the info...from what i can tell the differences are minimal save for a difference in the variable tachometer. i look forward to being a regular member on t
It was just too good for me to pass up..I'm on the road and don't have my camera handy so these pics are from the previous owner ( By permission of course ) .......My PAM 199G - for Gene;c)Thanks for lookingI will take more when I get back home.
Interesting development with Patek requiring ADs to remove all factory packaging before it leaves the doors. Another attempt to curtail the grey market.watchesbysjx/2017/07/pate...d-watches.html
So I have a theory. I saved up for a long time to buy my first Rolex a month ago. One thing that pissed my off, was the bezel didn't line up at 12 with the click. Evidently this is a known issue with ceramic bezels. Some believe since this a mass produced product it was ok to have QC issues. Since it's a Rolex it's ok to have a flaw. Other brands don't seem to get judged the equally. When looking used I was afraid of getting a fake. Buy the seller not the watch. Doing my research I was told Rolex watches are supposed to be perfect if they are real. I think over the years the philosophy of perfection has gone away. Either due to increased capacity to meet demand or their QC has gone down. No company produces everything perfect and there is always going to be one offs. Long story short - maybe Rolex is slowing down production to fix QC. They could also be getting ready for changing over of the big selling modelswith new movements. Personally, if I owned Rolex I would be firing people in
