Solar Impulse is a prototype aircraft powered by the Sun, and on a clear April day over the Swiss town of Payerne, it took its first serious test flight. Seven years in the making, the goal of the venture is to demonstrate that it is possible to fly around the world using only solar power. The top of the craft’s wings are covered with 12,000 solar cells, occupying a wingspan of 206 feet – just a few feet shorter than a 747, yet the plane weighs only about 3750 pounds. The nearly $100 million project is headed up by Bertrand Piccard, the Swiss adventurer who completed the first non-stop around the world balloon flight in 1999. His partner is Andr¨¦ Borschberg, an engineer and fighter pilot. On Wednesday, the Solar Impulse team took the first major step toward their goal with a test flight that lasted about 2 hours, during which they achieved an altitude of about 4000 feet. DLC'd"Gylcine Incursore" 46mm... just completed last week.
Here is a timepiece that is rather simple but yet sophisticated. This Incursore was sent out to me with the request to get it DLC coated in Pencil lead dark DLC color. After the watch was taken apart the entire case set, including the case back, crown and buckle underwent a 3 step beadblasting procedure so to get the most perfect matte texture possible. After that was done, the parts got DLC coated in Dark pencil lead color so to match the dial.The result relieved a unique contrast b/n the hands and indices against the rest of the watchI hope you enjoy the pics.*the watch was pressure tested and accuracy aligned on a timograph as a standard procedure.I hope you enjoy the pics following below:

Movement Peak-a-boo
I just bought a Rolex 6422 and I want to see the movement. If I unscrew the back will it no longer be water proof? Will I need a new gasket? I have documentation from the Watch Buyers Group out of Pasadena that the watch is genuine but, I want to see for myself.
