It's here. After DAYS of anxious waiting without any information, whatsoever, I'm finally united with my Invicta Pro Diver 7176. I'm still at office, but I'll post the pics as soon as I get a hand on a decent camera. Meanwhile here's a reference pic:Just one problem....I bought it off Ebay at an auction for around $135, but the seller forgot to remove the price tag, indicating that the watch costs $325. Neither did he include the invoice. So the customs charged me Rs3000 or around $60 as the duty :mad:Now I'll have to go and try and get my money back (which is next to impossible).Ill keep you guys updated
I bought a rebuilt Vintage Seamaster 300 (caliber 552) from a dealer in Lichtenstein. It's not a Watchco Seamaster but of the same type - constructed from genuine Omega service parts. The dealer advised me that it was made by a level 3 Omega service technician in Switzerland. His view is that Omega will service it but I am not so sure. I had mixed emotions buying this seeing as views on the Watchco Seamaster are mixed - most people love the look but there have been some concerns about quality and servicing down the line. Only time will tell how my one will behave. The dealer offers a 12 month warranty at least. One thing for sure - its beautiful and I love wearing it
I am currently thinking about adding an Omega to the collection. The two strongest contenders is the Omega Planet Ocean Orange XL 2208.50 or the Omega Speedmaster Professional Double sapphire 3573.50. Having a hard time in deciding between the two. I love the sportiness of the Planet Ocean and I think the size is better fit for my wrist. But I also love the timelessness of the Speedmaster. The newly released Planet Oceans really overshadow the old ones, and I am worried about getting a watch that will soon be dated.
Dear Wonderful Forum Members , i newly start collecting watches and i had been in love with the day date watch, was lucky to award in Ebay Wood Dial for day date i checked and it fit both 18038 and 18238 models with both 3035 and 3135 movement but i dont know which year the wood dial came in Day date so appreciate if any one can tell me which years Day date came with Wood dial? then i came to another seller who was selling18238 day date but without Case back , it is E serial belong to 1990 so i thought ok let me get it for my dial , now i have few questions and appreciate your help :1- FOr the case back :does any Date just SS case back fit for example the 16000 serial for date just 36MM can fit as temporary solution till i allocate original caseback either by AD or reseller ?2- does any one have any idea how much it will cost me approx to get it either from reseller or Rolex AD ?3- does any member have any caseback 18000 or 18200 which can fit my DD 18238 .
