Gevril 8511 wrist watches news:
For the third time since 2004, the Public Prize in the Montres Passion Watch of the Year competition goes to a timepiece from Jaeger-LeCoultre. The 2010 winner is the Duom¨¨tre ¨¤ Quanti¨¨me Lunaire, as selected by the public from all around the world voting online. In 2007, the Duom¨¨tre ¨¤ Chronographe took the prize. The Duom¨¨tre ¨¤ Quanti¨¨me Lunaire incorporates Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest achievements: it displays time with jumping seconds showing 1/6th of a second increments. Also displayed are the date and the age of the moon. This piece features JLC’s Dual-Wing movement which includes two independent power supplies: one dedicated to creating a perfect timing foundation ¨C regulated by escapement and balance ¨C and the other solely for the display of time ¨C hour, minute and seconds hands ¨C as well as the date and the age of the moon for the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Both are synchronized through the jumping seconds hand mechanism driven by the escapement. The images be
busy with the family and work these days! Looking to pick up another Sub this week! Still have the GMTIIC love that watch!well will try to post more in the future!
Just ordered Aviation tachymiler ,white dial, S.S. bracelet . Got it online. I've been looking at this watch for weeks now. My first Valjoux movement. Missed the boat when it went on sale, but called and still got that price. Under $600.00 and should be here in a day or 2 since they're in NY. I'm a little sceptical of ordering online ,but not too many ad's around here , if any. We'll see what happens. Anyway I'll anxiosly be watching for that UPS truck
What is the longest owned Hamilton that you still have? This Thin O Matic calendar was a high school graduation gift from my parents in (gulp!) 1967. I wore it daily for about 20 years until I became interested in vintage watches. It was purchased at Fox Jewelers in Michigan, and I had it serviced approximately every 3 years during the time I actively wore it. There is still no wear through, surprisingly, on this RGP case. I have looked through the posted catalogs, and am not able to locate this watch. As a side note, since I am the family watch guy I have the high school grad gifts of my father (Bulova) and both grandfathers (Gruen & Zenith pocket watches) in my collection. I would be interested in similar "long hold" experiences from any of you.Attachment 27289
