Suunto Core Line Is Anything But Middlestream Wrist Computer
Last year Sunnto released the Core series of watches, attempting to merge style with Sunnto's almost legendary mixture of features and functions in what they call "wristop computers." The Core line does a great job of combining the functions that Suunto is known for. You get an altimeter (measuring altitude), barometer (barometric pressure for weather status and predictions), thermometer, digital compass, depth meter (up to 30 meters), sunrise and sunset times, and of course all the other features you would expect such as a timer, stopwatch, alarms, full calendar, and dual times. You might be saying to yourself, "sure it can do all that, but I'll never remember how to use it or access all that information." This is a valid concern, but to be honest, my experience with Suunto watches (I do own one) is that they are incredibly logical to use. Hello,I am a new here, please kindly advise.I am looking for the 1 head winder that would fit in the safe with battery powered.This is my 1st winder so I don't want to spend too much on since I need to see how it fit my routine and setup.I heard about the beta unit that I people got for $150 (that's right on my budget) so I would like to find out how to get one. I picked this up this week and I am so impressed. I have always admired the AT from a far but once I started to do some research on the watch, I knew I had to own one at one time or another. The quality of this watch is hard to beat, the look, the feel, the comfort all rival watches that have cost me twice as much. Stunning teak grey dial that changes color at different angles, really cool by the way. Amazing movement with a 60 hr power reserve that does not need a service per my Omega boutique for approx. 10 years, which is pretty crazy. The applied markers are just perfect, the mix of polished and brushed areas on the case and bracelet really make the watch pop. Most who know me know I love to swim with my watches, well, I don't like taking off my watch too swim is probably more accurate. Hello folks,Found this site and am learning a lot of great info. I've had an addiction for Rolex since my father purchased a Sea Dweller in '93 as a retirement gift for himself. My first Rolex was (and still is) an R series 16600 Sea Dweller I purchased in '04, and this was followed by an M series 116520 SS Daytona white face in '09 when I turned 40. Somewhere in between I also acquired a Breitling Navitimer.I walked into my local AD last Monday and asked about the Deep Sea Blue, which apparently just came in - still in it's plastic coffin case. Today I pulled the trigger on it and will be getting it this week.Looking forward to reading more about these great timepieces.
