I am a long time lurker finally getting around to becoming a bit active. I love visiting your forum, but boy does it paint all kinds of shades of envy when I see these great watches! Anyway, I am a new guy when it comes to watches as I have only recently received my Omega SMP as a gift this past year. Now I have the bug. I just got a De Ville, and I'm seriously eyeing the Speedy Triple Date being discussed in another thread. As for the requisite pic, I will get on that this weekend when i have a bit of time to dedicate to some poor photography.
I was going to keep this on the down low for a while but I am so excited about my new purchase that I can hardly contain myself. Thanks to DavidSW for this magnificent piece. Hand delivered to my folks in Orlando (They got back from a 2 month stay in FL yesterday) and I picked this beauty up last night after work.Count me in on the AP Owners list!If you're wondering what I did before that I did it again, I just bought my first Panerai about a month ago from drgross/dra144. Thanks to my wonderful wife who is soooooooo understanding about my obsessions (watches and cars).
Same apple watch as on Saturday.
Hey TRF,After much hemming and hawing I have decided to save and plan for a birth year SS Sub, preferably no date (I¡¯ll settle for date if I have to). So I¡¯m late December 1984. I guess an ¡®85 would be fine too right? What I want to know is: where should I look for one, and what sort of price point should I be expecting? Anything else I should know? Is this technically vintage? Is it still 5513 or did those stop in the early 80s?Thanks!
