- A very nice watch. Comfortable to wear, pleasing to the eye and the band which is equally thin complimenting an overall package.

Girard Perregaux 80490D.53A.121.CKCA wrist watches news:
Guys, Went to AD in Edinburgh mid-week and seen that Omega have raised their prices by 12% (on top of 2 1/2% VAT rise in January). Last year I negotiated a 17 1/2% reduction on the then price of my Aqua Terra Chronograph. Even then I struggled to meet the purchase price. If I delayed the purchase to this year, and even if I negotiated a similar discount, I probably wouldn't have been able to afford my watch.I know that yearly sales figures must be sufficient to legislate for such a price hike, but surely a high volume of potential purchasers are being outpriced? On a slightly different note, I'm assuming that as retail prices go up annually that there must be a relative rise in second hand values? This is wishful thinking more than anything else!
Not in my possession yet, but I was wondering if anyone had more info on this one?A guy offered me his grandfather's pocket watch. He said everything is original and working, has the original watch chain and box. Here's the sellers picturesI offered him 100$. I plan on selling it. I want to make him a decent offer so I was wondering if 100$ is too cheap or too much?
I'm going to be in Germany the next couple weeks, and wondering if there's any 'gotta see' watch stores. I'll be in Dufsseldorf most of the time, but will be heading down to Munich for a day, so if there's any there I should see please let me know.I've already done some research and plan on hitting Wempe's store in Dusseldorf (been wanting to see the Zeitmeister Moonphase for over a year but there aren't any of their stores here). Any others I should look into, especially the German brands that may not be available in stores in the US?
I'll let the photo speak for itself!001.jpg
Just an FYI: The OMEGA Boutiques are instituting on-site technicians who can pressure test, rate check, and regulate watches in the store. The Beverly Center (Los Angeles) location already has theirs. I had my Aqua Terra 8500 rate tested last month when I went for the 2014 Basel previewing.I just got back from there this morning and had my Seamaster Pro 300M 2220.80.00 regulated because it was running fast (+10 sec per day in my rough testing; +7.1 sec per day according to the machine). Not all boutiques have a tech right now, so call first. I was told that most of the US boutiques will have a technician on staff by early 2015.
