I dropped my Spitfire the other day! It stopped working, so I took it to Sam. I just listened to his message and the repair is going to cost $300 - $350. However, this presents an interesting opportunity: I can send it to IWC and while they completely overhaul it I might be able to have them swap the dial for the silver version. It's always been my favorite, and I keep a pic of it in my Photobucket account. I've been trying to find a watch to add to the collection with a silver dial and posted about my silly back & forth waffling a couple times. I have the Heuer coming soon which will fill the black dial slot, so let's see what your opinions are on the subject. Should I fork over the extra cash to send it to IWC and have them fix it and change the dial or leave it black? Naturally we all know it's my choice in the end, but cast a vote anyway and feel free to elaborate why you went with that choice.
