Girard Perregaux 49583-11-151-BA6A wrist watches news:
Last night I was out shopping with my wife, or should I say out whith my wife while she shopped. (C'mon guys, how many hours have you patiently sat in Talbot's, etc..., while the wife tried on clothes?) Anyhow, on the way out of the mall we passed a newly opened (unnamed!) watch store. Well, fair is fair and I convinced her to go in with me while I indulged in one of my life's enjoyments. I tried on a SMP 2222.80. Well know, I think she took a shine to it. I was wearing my SMP120, so we compared the many differences and she ehibited genuine interest - even asked a few questions. She may be bending my wayMy next play is to hint at an unbeatable deal that can be had from "everybody's favorite AD." Hoping I have the requisite number of posts - I'll be looking for that pm. ThanksKarlB
Just received my Orbita Sparta 2 Charcoal Stingray.First impression this is one very well built winder. The finish and feel of this box is the best I have seen.I thought when ordering the Stingray it would be a leatherette feel to the box.It is not it is a fine piano feel with a Stingray look. This unit is flawlessand beauiful. The reason I chose this one was because of the lithium batteries. These batteries have a 5 year guarantee and expected 7 year life span. You can place this unit anywhere and no plug needed.
Picked up a bnib 15450 silver today. Photos taken with stickers on as I am still deciding if the 37mm works with my wrist. Taken next to my yellow gold Sub and WG Daytona, there is not much difference in size between AP's 37mm and Rolex's 40mm cases.
Just received this Royal Oak Chrono, the Alinghi City of Sails from Tony G at JustRolexes. It was produced in 2003, one of 1250 made. It's 39mm, so a bit smaller than most of what AP is producing these days, and I like that it has kind of an offshore vibe but scaled down. Also, as you can tell from the position of the date, it has the 2385 movement, so is a relatively thin 11.5mm.I'm excited to have an AP in the rotation again -- I had a 15300 a while ago, but traded it in for my Nautilus. The AP fills a sporty but elegant role for me, more sporty than the Patek, but not as sporty as a Rolex.
Congrats also to the Dodgers and their fans. That was one helluva Series. But, boy. This city needed a win. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
