Girard Perregaux Girard Perregaux 18826 wrist watches news:
Hi,This is my first post on the new site, though I've enjoyed reading the posts here for a while. I just wanted to ask how often everyone has their case/bracelet refinished or polished. I purchased my watch (SS Sub Date) a little over a year ago, and have noticed some scratches build up and a couple dings. Originally, I thought that I would just wait until the 5-year service, but now I'm thinking that I'd like to have it polished sooner. Can it be sent in to Rolex to have polished? If so, does anyone know how much this might cost? Perhaps I'll just wait another 4 yrs...Thanks,Brendan

Is there any discount for forum members at TheStrapSmith?
I have this Elgin that I recently purchased, and it has a 673 movement, but no serial number. Any ideas? I have found one that looks similar but it's from 1955, and has 21 jewels vs 17 jewels on this one.
This Yatchmaster totally grabbed my attention this morning. Wife was very supportive of the idea so I went for it!!! One more addition to my small collection. Im new to this forum so Im not sure if Im posting this in the right spot!Im happy and blessed!
