Khaki field auto chrono-help!
I am considering a Khaki field auto chrono, but I can't decide on the face color. I was thinking about black because it is a classic look and I could go with a stainless, black, or brown band. But I really like the brown face 42mm model, but I'm not sure how it would look with a stainless band. (if I wanted to change it to that) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Research Database Template
This is simply an alphabetical list of every Hamilton model and the year it first showed up in the catalog. I'm thinking that this can be a useful template to create a database for future reference, for such things as movement listings, lug width, maybe even a photo of each model. It doesn't matter what. Your Opinion Please: Would a WATCH TALK FORUMS Mobile App Be Useful To You?
Dear members & visitors of WATCH TALK FORUMS:Mobile computing is an important part of staying connected. Currently, about 10% of our monthly traffic comes from mobile sources such as the iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod), Android devices, Blackberry devices, and Windows mobile devices. The number is growing.WATCH TALK FORUMS currently supports TAPATALK which is a mobile app written for several different mobile platforms which works with our forum software, vBulletin. However, we're considering designing a custom app for WATCH TALK FORUMS which would allow even greater, more intuitive duplication of "desktop" functionality and experience than TAPATALK does. To help us decide if we should commit resources to this endeavor, I wanted to poll our membership to try and gauge interest in such an app. Because of the costs involved we would likely have to charge a most fee for the app - .99 or maybe even 1.99. It is now a FSIS (First Speedmaster in Space), #1/1, a Sigma 7 commemorative.Some of you recall my project about 10 years ago to build a Speedmaster like the one worn by Wally Schirra on his October 3, 1962 Mercury flight. Circumstances did not permit completion of the project but I kept the case back I had fabricated at the time:It sat in a drawer awaiting a final polish if an opportunity ever arose to use it. When Omega introduced the FOIS at Basel, I suspected the opportunity just might happen. On the day of introduction, I called Jim at Continental and placed my order.I must admit that the OEM FOIS case back was a disappointment, my only disappointment with Omega's effort. I patiently waited as long as I could (didn't want to risk my warranty) but I recently took the ∑7 to my local watchmaker (Gary at Wilson Watch Company) for him to do the final polishing.So without further ado:What do you think?
