Hi all,I'd love to know a bit more about the Omega WWWs so if anyone out there can shed a bit of light on the subject, that'd be great.I have heard that they were ordered in Feb 1944 - is that right?Delivered in May 1944 in time for D Day - is that right?Who were they issued to - was it just officers?How many were made?Thanks in advance - any input greatly appreciated

How often do you flip watches??
I searched and found a couple of similar threads, but wanted some fresh insight here. I am just two months into this hobby/sport/obsession/disease. The first real solid acquisition I made was a Hamilton Tachymiler. I bought it because it was different from many I had seen, and it was something NEW TO ME. Since then however, I have learned so much and seen so many different watches that my tastes and likes/dislikes have changed/evolved/devolved.I have some emotional ties to this watch because it is the first one to indoctrinate me. BUT I have seen so many others that I might like to be the cornerstone of my collection. At the price I paid for this watch, I'd be "darn close" to recouping my investment if I sold it now. Of course, I'd immediately be stepping into something new. I've already flipped a few less expensive watches. Is this normal? I guess finding what you like can get costly :) .
