I'm considering to buy this watch from a coworker. He's the original owner and the watch appears to be in excellent shape. He has the original box, tags, and original sales receipt showing a sale price of $1,795. The only thing I'd do right to the watch is a detailed clean and polish the bracelet since the crystal, case and bezel show little to almost no markings. A few questions to the experts around here:1. What would RCS charge for a complete service?2. What's a reasonable market value of this watch?3. Is it reasonable to offer market value minus the cost of the service?Thanks!

Quick pic & thoughts on new Date-Just II
Well I had to stop into the local AD last night for something else, and was told they'd finally received the new Date-Just II. So of course I had to try it on. First impressions were pretty good, as I expected. Positives:The 41mm wears well, but not large. I expected it to wear larger, but it felt very similar to the Sub, only thinner. Vastly improved on my 8" wrist over the 36mm brother. The dimensions & balance of everything was very well done IMO. The new clasp is very similar to the Daytona's, having the quick-extend link for adding a mm or 2 when needed. With the solid center links balance was perfect. Dial, bezel & case size felt perfectly proportional. Unfortunately it wasn't the dial I'd really wanted to see, the slate with black / green roman markers. But it was still overall a very nice watch.Negatives: The big one - the $9,525 price. It's a lot of money for a watch that plays sport but can't play with it's rough & tough brothers like the Sub, and it

Crashing Prices????
Has everyone else noticed in the last month quite a few REALLY nice watches have sold cheap. Normally I don't bother bidding in December because the prices get silly high for gifts. But latelywhite Langleys, enamel Brookes, Piping Rocks, and many other desirable vintage watches have sold TOO cheap. I'm afraid in January the floor might truly drop out. HOPEFULLY there are differing opinions as I'm getting a bit nervous!
