Their namesake company, Gruebel Forsey, relies on these very techniques to produce timepieces that have become lore among modern collectors. If these techniques die out, then their future, and the future of other high-end independents dies out too. Reputable online vintage watch dealer?
I've been to some of the sponsors' websites, and found some interesting stuff. I'm looking for something pretty specific, though, and am wondering if there's a list of the sponsors that deal in vintage watches. Actually, I don't recall if any of the sites where I saw vintage watches were sponsors or not...I'm looking for an inexpensive (under $400?) vintage watch, probably self wind, probably with no date, probably leather band. I know that's a lot of probably. It will see occasional use as a dress watch, which is why I'm thinking manual wind with no date. That way I can just wind it when I want to wear it, set the time, and go, without worrying about a.m. or p.m. or a date. I currently own among other things a Pam 562. I'm starting to really like the Pam 590 as well. I don't want to give up the 562 so I am thinking of adding the 590. Anyone think they are too similar?
