- This watch screams cheap and it is not what I expected from this designer. The straps are thin and flimsy and are covered with a plastic-like coating. The weight of the watch itself is also very light. Will return.

Girard Perregaux 4980 wrist watches news:
emergency brake please, the forum is slower than the inland ice today...:)
I'm trying, but I simply can'tI'm behind that Seamaster, and I told myself that I will stop buying $100 to$300 watches, but simply can't...I'm sick, really, as I spend around $600 each month on watches, each particulary nice, but no higher-end with the exception of my Speedy Broad Arrow, that was bought with a bonus from a job well doneno saving at allWhat can I do? I know this is the worst place to ask for advice on "stop buying" but what can I do???How can you control yourselves about this?
I have an old Seiko watch. It's around 37 years old (give or take). It's an automatic, and has a main spring that is manually wound. This is used for the alarm which is a tiny bell in the watch. yeah, it sounds like a little mini old fashioned phone. I ran across it the other day after not seeing it for around 30 years, after a few shakes it began to run and ran well. Even the alarm worked fine. The problem is it was my first waterproof watch and I took advantage of that. I often got it wet with salt water and then 30 years of storage the case is pretty well oxidized. How can I find out more about this watch? Can the case be restored? Is it worth it? If I recall, it ran around $200 37 years ago. Here are some pictures I took of it last night.
Hi all,Just wantred to let everyone know (not rubbing it in or anything ) that I recieved the $9 Luxupak watch winder that went on sale last week (or so). The quality of the winder is VERY nice, it looks exactly like the picture on their website. The motor is EXTREMELY quiet - if I put my ear right next to the unit I can hear a very faint "buzz". No vibration, can easily go on a night table without worries of losing sleep to noise.Very impressed. Whether they go on sale or not, a VERY nice product. The company was an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Can i buy a Rose gold Bracelet for my offshore? any idea where to get or cost?
