IWC IW371701 wrist watches news:
I'm wearing this now (ref. 2484, ca. 1958, case diameter 33 mm), having just got it back from my father, who had been keeping it "warm" for the past couple of years. I inherited it from my grandfather in the early '80s, but my dad and I had been sharing it the while (esp. while I was in school). I'm glad to have it back. Such a gorgeous watch!
Hello all. I have what I think is a Calatrava. This was my Grandfathers watch which was a gift to him from my Grandmother in 1968. I was hoping that some of the folks here can tell me a little more about this watch. I want to have it restored because the crystal has a tendency to pop loose but not off. I'm not the type that will take the back off to look for serial numbers and the like, I just don't trust myself to do that to this watch. It runs like a champ. The picture of the back shows the reflection of the camera lens so that's why you see lettering. I'm not the best picture taker eitherOriginal receipt:The watch:
Hi fellow WTF members,I need your feedback on some of this watches. Only problem is I have enough cash for just 1. Help me pick which is the one you'll buy out of the lot. One of them is from Japan and the other 4 are Swiss.1) Grand Seiko Spring Drive $8K2) Rolex Submariner $9K3)Ulysse Nardin Maxi Diver $9K4)Breitling Superocean chrono $5K5) Tag Heuer Grand Carerra Chrono$7KOut of the 5, the breitling is the cheapest and also a chrono. My choice is the GSeiko. Or is the breitling good value for $4,500? Is the GS Spring Drive good enough to compete against the Swiss Rolex caliber 3135? Movement vice I gave Seiko Spring Dr 1-0 Rolex 3135. But Rolex the brand has more prestige and resale value than the Seiko. What do you think? I'm stuck. So many watches, so little money.Grand Seiko Spring Drive Rolex SubmarinerUlysse Nardin diverBreitling Superocean Tag Heuer Grand Carrera
I love the new ROO but not a big fan of hornback straps, any pics of them with rubber?
