I never liked to sleep with a watch on my wrist. Mostly for fear of banging it on the headboard, the bedside table, etc. And quite frankly, without my glasses I wouldn't be able to clearly read the time at night with the lume.Normally I would just leave the watch I was wearing that day on my nightstand, and depending on the watch, sometimes on top of a microfiber cleaning cloth. But for some reason I felt that I wanted something a little more, let's say special, for my AP. So, now I just put it on the nice AP travel case every night. Sounds silly, but it makes it feel a little more special to take it out of the case every morning and strap it to my wrist. And of course, it also serves a real purpose, as it will protect the watch from accidentally being scratched against the wood, or sliding off by accident. So, what do you do with yours at night? It's been some time since I've had a Panerai in the stable, now over the course of two weeks I have two! The first piece I acquired is the 438. I've always loved the look of the fully blacked out case and bracelet, and being constructed from ceramic, will hold its finish and look great for a long time to come! Fast forward to today, the most recent acquisition, the 368! This piece blew me away when I first held it in my hands! 8 day manual wind lefty, with PR indicator on the back and the brown dial with gold hands really sets this model off. The strap it came on is thick and rugged, yet soft and form fitting. Very comfortable, and along with the titanium case makes this a very wearable piece. The 368 is rapidly becoming my favorite Panerai! The domed sapphire is beautiful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi, first time poster. Just bought my first Rolex at the AD in St. Lucia. DJII, SS/WG, silver dial. When reading up I saw a few questions here about US Customs. Here's my experience this evening.Duty charged at Newark was 3%. That was applied only to the balance after my duty-free allowance of $800. I.e., (price - $800) x .03 = dutySmall change, and it took all of 10 minutes to present my receipt and pay by credit card.
