Missing Platinum Number on GMT IIC???
Hi FriendsI am in Malaysia on business and I have spotted an available (stainless steel) GMT IIc at an AD here.It's a sweet little peach of a watch...however...my only misgiving is that the numbers on the bezel are kind of a cream and beige uneven colour.It looks suspiciously to me like raw ceramic.I remember reading somewhere that the numbers on the bezel are supposed to be platinum.What colour are the bezel numbers supposed to be?Can anyone enlighten me? Is it possible that Rolex could have forgotten to add the platinum to the bezel numbers???

HandyDan's Langdon Got Me!
Howdy folks! Long time no see! I thought I'd 'kicked the habit' and was enjoying a peaceful hiatus from the frenzied obsession of Hamilton watch collecting. Then I stopped by just to see what's new and, and......I saw HandyDan's listings in the Sales forum! Impulsive behaviors struck. And I bought the Langdon!! Aauugghh...!!!!!!!!!!! If Dan's gotten to the post office, I am soon to be the proud (albeit addicted) possessor of this:I really love the early round dial Hamiltons and this will be my second. The Vancott I got from Tom Diss is an absolute favorite that I wear all the time. The Vancott deserves a break from everyday wear so I "need" the Langdon! That's my story (excuse, rationalization) anyway.Now that I'm back in the hunt, I'm off to the jungle (or swamp) in search of a Norde, Secometer "C" or maybe a Stormking!Happy Holidays to everyone!piscator

I need to replace a Seiko 7002-7039 that has been misplaced during a move. I already asked about an alternative choice to a Seiko (Bernhardt Sea Shark) in the General Forum. Im really tempted to buy something with a Sapphire Lense but then (as was pointed out) I might break it instead of just gouge it.Here I would like to ask about my Seiko choices. Everyone says, "Monster!", but Im not really sure I want a larger watch.1. SKX779 "Monster" - Not sure I want something that large!2. SKX173 - Closest to 7002-7039.3. SKX007 - Grey-Market with different hour markings. Cheaper than the SKX173.4. SKX009 - Pepsico version of SKX007.Im leaning toward a SKX009 since I can get it for less than $150?Thoughts?

Carter and Richard Sleeman concluded that there is no meaningful relationship between where a bill came from and the type or amount of drug residue is on it.As a basis of comparison, they added a clever trick to their test.On each trip to the bank, one of the researchers would note the arm on which he was wearing his wristwatch. The statistics showed that the arm he wore his watch on had as much of a bearing on the pattern of drug residue as where the bills came from.The scientists rationalized that since bills are circulated quickly, their geographic origin is totally unrelated to how contaminated they are. Thus, if someone gets caught with a stash of drug money, they can no longer blame the above-average levels of residue on the hood where they got it.
