You can even search for 'fake'Anyway To-days thread (part 2)will cover 'Library/Catalogs'. Now what ever may or may not be lacking in the museum artifacts is surely not the case with the library and its archives. I am each day amazed and astounded to find and learn what is here. Really as far as horology, it would be simpler to list what is not here - very little.Also some of the information is OCR (Optical Character Recognition) entered which means its not just readable but FULLY searchable by keywords.Did you also know that, you do not need to visit the library to research its books. So you know what the Proplof is, obviously. I recently swung by an Omega dealer and fell in love all over again with it's $11000 bada$$ness.Naturally, I did the most logical thing I could think of...I bought one......of these...At less than 1/10th the price of the ProPlof, and all titanium, with a Proplof silicone strap, I'm happy to see it arrive next week.For 11 grand, I'd buy another motorcycle...or sportscar...or vacation...or another thousand dollar watch and invest the rest (*sigh* - I'm getting older;) )Bottom line - haven't bought a watch in well over a year, so I'm excited to see this cool rig inbound. :)

Received my first AP in the mail today
Finally pulled the trigger and bought a F series ROO rubber clad. Came with all original paperwork and box. Only question is if the date is normally handwritten like that? Seems like pretty poor handwriting too.

AP ROO Safari or Panerai Pam569?
I don't know if I am just getting an itch to get something new but I went to the boutique and tried on the Panerai Pam569. I thought it was just a beautiful watch! It is one of those watches that doesn't photograph well but on the wrist, it's just a different story!So with that being said, I don't want to keep both the AP and Panerai. I want to keep one or the other...I already have the Safari. My question is, would you get rid of it to acquire a 569?I already know what the AP section would say and I am curious to what this forum thinks...TIA.Frank

Hello,I've been looking for a rolex to add to my 16610LV; been gravitating around several models: 5513 non-matte dial, 16800, 16700, 16750, but I found myself always drawn back to the explorer 16570. Been attracted to the cream markers on the white dial. I found a U series (circa 1998), titrium wording on the dial, full set; very good condition. The only doubt I have is that the lume is still active - not super luminova like but rather luminova. I have to make up my mind by this week-end or release it...my question to the forum:- is it possible to have a titrium marked dial with luminova indicies?- is it possible for the titrium lume be glowing still?- what are the chances that the lume starts turning yellow?- should I just be looking for an older model altogether with already yellow markers ? ( although the prices in Japan are really hiking upwards on these babies)...- should I go the opposite drection and aim for one with the 3186 movement?The price is definitely high compared to las
