Bought my last Rolex today...
The GMT-II (Red/Black).It took a quite a few phone calls to find one and didn't have any luck with my local AD. I called the AD (out of state) where I bought my very first Rolex and they had one! It was still $5075.00! No increase!! No sales tax either !!!I have been wanting another since I gave my brother my first one.No regrets about giving it away, just like the style and wanted another one.My daily wear will still be the GMT-IIc.This old style GMT will sit in the safe and won't be worn.The prices are getting too high for me.You know what they say about your first.........

Ed White's Speedmaster 105.003 - The Final Known Journey
GuysIn my travels on the big www, I came across a post by Chuck Maddox, that great enthusiast of the Speedmaster who was written in September 2006 by Blake Bartosh, whose father was a collector of interesting material. Sent by Blake to Chuck were some scans from an auction catalog with information on Ed White's Speedy.All along, most of us had understood that NASA had given Ed White's Speedy which was recovered from the remains of Apollo 1 to his widow who in turn passed it onto their son. This would appear to be the last known journey of the watch. Ed White, Roger Chaffee and Gus Grissom have been fondly remembered on WTF and as their anniversary approaches in the coming month, the sadness of their passing illustrates in part, the random nature of human existence. My First Panerai!!
I have been loving Panerais since shortly after my Rolex Sub purchase 7 years ago from this forum (justrolexes, Tony). I was finally able to pull the trigger. I ended up with a PAM 1359.I was lucky enough to be able to try on both the 359 and 1359 before purchasing. I actually preferred the slightly thinner case and the ecru coloring on the dial on the 1359. The blue second hand is a nice touch too. This thing will not leave my wrist for a long time. A huge thank you to Addy616 for making the buying experience easy.

I Had Almost Given Up!
A month ago I decided I wanted a SkyDweller TT with the White Face. Although I hadn¡¯t purchased a watch from my local AD in many years this was my first stop. What a bunch of jerks. I would not have minded waiting for a watch but they could have treated me like a human. They had an ownership change and the difference was obvious. I then began to call the AD¡¯s that were fairly close. Every one said, sorry we haven¡¯t even seen one of those but if we had it you would have to come into the store to purchase. I was down to two more numbers one 200 miles away and one across the country in N. CA. By now I knew that the N. CA was likely a no go so I called the AD 200 miles away. Yes we have one. It came in last night. We will hold it for 4 hours. I hopped in the car and took off. It¡¯s now mine. No discount. They had to order the extra link. They did give me a Wolf 1.8 watch winder (I know nothing about). I should have the watch with the extra link in the next 2 weeks. Very Happ

7hr & 32min with my NEW watch...
After I stopped staring at it, (Which took me about an hour) I went about my business and wasn't aware of it...I took out the Divers Extension...A perfect fit...It's only been a few hours but so far my instincts were correct...A fabulous time piece that is as comfortable as any Sea Dweller I have ever owned...
