Hublot 342.SB.131.RX wrist watches news:
Does anyone know the price of an extra link for a TT DJ? I called the AD, and they would not give the price over the phone, so I am not inclined to drive to get a the price, as they are a distance away, and I do not have a need for the watch anytime soon. Nonetheless, I do need one, and will have to at some point. Are the prices negotiable or set? There are non-OEM parts available at other jewelers, though I have no interest in doing so. I prefer to keep it from Rolex.
I've seen a number of posts lately asking about different types of lume on watches. I hear a lot about very little, some good information, some bad - I'd like to try to clear that up a bit for everyone. There are three "umbrella categories" that lume can fall into:1. Traditional paint2. Tritium (often called tubes, H3 or gas lights, sometimes called capsules)3. ElectricTraditional paint based lume is by far the most common type. It's applied like a paint, because that's what it is. The paint contains a photoluminescent compound that absorbs light and then gives it off over a period of time. The quality of the paint, application, and the thickness of application (among other things) all have an effect on the resulting product, as you'll likely see below. The more layers of luminous compound that are applied (thicker application), the more luminescent material there is to absorb and emit light. The greater the density of the luminescent material there is in the paint, the greater it
from europastar:NEWS Global fashion signatures January 06, 2008 By Pierre Maillard “It is the fault of globalization. . .” bemoan the ‘real’ watchmakers who are witnessing the inevitable rise in strength of ‘fashion’ watches, those timepieces bearing the signature of the great lords of global couture. Gone are the days when we could condescendingly consider fashion watches as ‘accessories’ stuck in between the ties, belts, and shoes. Today, some of the brands emanating from couture and haute couture, which have entered the domain of complicated and refined haute horlogerie, are playing on an equal footing with the oldest and most venerable brands.Other brands confine themselves to the middle segment of the market, offering watch products that follow the seasonal changes of the fashion collections. There are also those labels, and often very well known (Armani comes to mind), which have chosen the ‘economical’ end of the market
