Baume & Mercier Capeland Watches For 2011
The first time that I wrote about Baume & Mercier's new for 2011 Capeland collection watches I was a bit irritated. The reason for that sentiment was the revival of the Capeland name in a thoroughly retro collection, whereas the original Capeland watches from about a decade or so ago were much more modern. In fact, these heritage style timepieces are modeled after watches from the late 1940s, not the late 1990s. I still feel a tender sense of nostalgia toward the original collection and would have preferred that Baume & Mercier use a different name for these watches but, aside from than that, I am stricken by the appeal of these new Capelands.Baume & Mercier will initially offer seven variations of this model. I am sure you can find them available already. The historic look of the watches is cleverly done with two different dial styles. One is a bit more classic with pomme hands and a snailed tachymeter scale. The other is a bit more to my taste with more mid-century-style?

HI Guys, just got a minute before I have to dash to the flea market, but I hadda tell you all......there's a VERY nice benrus watch, exactly like the one in the photograph at the top of this forum .....I can't afford it at this time, and I am telling you guys so that someone who has been lusting after one like this can have a shot at it.....Mens Bernus 10K Roll Gold Plate Vintage Wristwatch c - eBay (item 250812903531 end time May-07-11 18:50:48 PDT)anyway it's over at about 4, PST ........and it's running, and looks very good , dial is good, so is the crystal from the photos.....

So i bought that watch
It's a Mayfair automatic.It's a pin lever escapement EB 1375 automatic movement. It runs nice and is of one of the highest quality pin lever movements I have ever seen. The only way I could tell it was a pin lever was by...well...the pin lever but it's nice. Pics in a minute.

Watch Band (bracelet) sizes
I am thinking about these watches and I really like the Ocean 1 and the 2000 meter Triton. My question is will they fit my wrist. I have a 8.5 inch wrist and hope that they will fit. 8.25 will fit OK too, but 8.5 is the most comfortable for me.Does anyone own these watches and will they adjust out that far with the factory bracelets? Are they fairly easy to adjust? Pins I assume.I really like the looks of these watches and after looking at all my options for the last year or so, I am getting close to pulling the trigger; I just don't want to get the watch home and find out it doesn't fit well or at all.Looking forward to a response soon!Mr. Burns

Ladies Omega Constellation in the US
Hi Guys,I'm looking at buying a ladies omega constellation for my misses Just doing some research and went down to the local AD. They offered $3000AUD which includes a 20% discount. I could maybe get a few hundred more but i'm not holding my breathe.My friend is going to the US in a few weeks and just wondering how the prices match up. It's got diamonds where the numbers are supposed to be, matt finish as per the below picture.
