Killing time yesterday, I went to my local Jerod's. When the sales guy came up, I asked what the latest news was on the BP. He was totally clueless. He got the acting Manager and He didn't know because the regional Bulova Sales Rep. hasn't been seen for nearly 5 MONTHS!...o-o-o-kay...and across the street I go to the mega-mall. Same question in all 6 of the jewelry stores there. The girl in the first one started in on a standard pre-sales pitch and had to be reminded it hasn't been released yet. The second one started zoning out when she knew I didn't represent an immediate sales opportunity to her. The most info came from the third store. This salesman didn't know what I was talking about until I used the phrase "world's most accurate watch/sweep second hand". And the ONLY reason he knew was because he had read about it in one of the watch magazines a few days ago. And they won't sell any until approval comes from that chain's Corporate HQ. Well, my significant birthday finally arrived - and so the safe was opened and my darling wife finally allowed me access to the fabulous present she bought for me now almost 6 months ago in preparation for today!It doesn't get much better than this! Enjoying a fabulous trip with my wonderful wife and an amazing new piece to add to the collection - a collection which is actually diminishing as I pare down to just a few really special pieces - a Messi, this wonderful new 15400, an Explorer II , and a Tanatlium Panerai. Help with 15400 Dial Color
Sorry to bother everyone again, but just when I was getting ready to purchase a white dial 15400 I went to the AP website and the pictures implied that the blue dial was much more readable. As I like both colors and fully realize ultimately it is my choice dictated by my taste, I was hoping for some insight from those more familiar with the piece regarding pros and cons of each color. Hi everyone! Small question I have and would like to hear your advice. I have seen many models at AD��s and from trusted sellers that are BNIB that have a small hairline on a PCL or on the bezel of a watch. Why does this happen so often? Would you be turned off and not purchase said watch? Or would you understand that its common & customary? I for one think it��s common and customary and thats why i only buy pre owned. Because if theres already a mark on it anyhow, why not save a few dollars? What are your thoughts? Thanks!
