Hi folks. I was going through my junk watch drawer and came across the watch I bought back in 1989 shortly after moving to Hong Kong. If I remember correctly, I paid about US$100 for it.As you can see, at some stage there was a very half-assed refinishing of the dial. I always suspected that it was a fake but when having the crystal changed at a watchmaker back in the early 90's, he mentioned that the watch is real, but that the dial was re-finished and the oyster band that was on the watch at the time is an aftermarket one. I think the hands may be incorrect as well. The crown looks a like it could be wrong, too.For the first time in ages I wound up the watch and wouldn't you know it, it runs like a charm.The watch is a bit small for my tastes, but I think it would make a nice gift for my son who is 7 years old for him to wear when going to church or on special occasions.What is the possibility of getting a NOS proper dial and bracelet for this watch?
