While many companies won't like me saying this, a less than announced fact is that many watch makers these days have some or most of their parts made in China (movements often included). Even many high-end watch makers likely have something in the construction of the watch that is of Chinese origin. One exception are the rare (and expensive) watches with the Seal of Geneva, meaning they are the most Swiss made, "Swiss Made" watches around.Is it a bad thing that watch parts are coming from China? Not necessarily. Like most places, China produces good and bad things. In a culture that celebrates speed and volume, as well as inexpensive manufacturing, the common promise has been something like "70% of the quality that you are used to, for 30% of the price." Omega Seamaster (Bond watch) quartz or automatic?
I am contemplating to get a Seamaster, the Bond watch. What's your thought on quartz or automatic? It seems quartz is more accurate and is of less hassle - I don't wear the same watch every day.

Navitimer on custom leather strap on push button clasp
I just replace my steel pilot bracelet to a custom SNRPstrap leather strap to a Breitling push button clasp. Before this I also tried a deployment clasp on calf leather but the deployment clasp hurt my wrist because of the design. The inner sleeves where the leather tucks under put pressure on my wrist and caused uncontrollable headaches everytime I wore it. I decided to fit a push button clasp and ordered custom made leather straps in whiskey color. The picture speaks for itself and the strap and clasp is so comfortable.
