Hi Alls,I have been long time reading this helpful forum filled with nice peoples and very knowledgeables.I have important question I hope you peoples can answers for me. I will be attending to friends celebration wedding in few weeks in Chicago, Illinois.I want to make purchase of first ROlex wristwatch in Chicago. I would be greatly appreciate it if some peoples can recommend excellent AD in Chicago who give good customer service and is reputable since I will spend so many dollars on this purchase.THanks you alls for so helpful.Juan
An appreciation for quality extends to all aspects of our lives.JBH's thread on Montblanc got me thinking about automobiles.I also own a few Montblanc's, but I also own several BMW's and have seen pics of Steve's 7 series and JBH's 3 series. Who else on this forum shares a passion for fine engineering of the BMW persuasion?I think this would make for an interesting thread as to our tastes for watches juxtaposed against our tastes in cars.Non BMW owners are free to share their automobile passions as well for this thread. My particular passion is for the 1980's BMWs as evidenced below. I feel this vintage of BMW's had the iconic style that was their signature for so many years. In contrast, my Rolex preferences are split between vintage vs. current models. So for me, my approach to watches does not reflect my approach to cars. How about you?Cheers!1986 M635 CSI (Euro)1985 325 es1981 323i (Euro)
I don't have room or desire for a huge collection (I have a friend with over 600 watches). So I resell watches after a while. Some stay in my collection for a long time, some permanently, but some get flipped to make room for something new. I'm finding no problem reselling my Invictas on Craigslist so I'm currently at over 20 Invictas in my collection and selling some that I'm bored with to get down to about 10 keepers. So what to buy next? More Invictas of course. If I buy an Invicta wisely, for a couple hundred dollars, I'm not losing huge dollars when I sell it later. But what else? What other brands are reasonably affordable and also have easy resell?Hamilton kind of interests me. unfortunately, most of the models I like are $1100-$1400 so selling one unit later means losing hundreds of dollars. Some Tissot appeal to me but I don't know the resale ability.I'm not stopping Invicta purchases, but want to add some other variety. I guess I'm interested in sub $500 selection. Any other s
