Years ago when the first Hublot Big Bang came out it was an interesting watch to most people. It had an aggressive military and industrial sensibility to it that so many men enjoyed back then, and still enjoy today. Hamilton Day Date - A modern interpretation.
I recently decided to acquire another modern Hamilton. I'm pretty fussy about the size of modern watches but this Day Date is a reasonable 40mm.I plunked the money down and it arrived here in West Oz within 1 week from NY.A box with a familiar name on it.first glimpselooking good!!a closer look at the dial. It's quite sparse given the modern idea of cramming the dial with heaps of design fluff.a quick shot of the case back. The movement is a ETA 2834another dial shotfor those interested the model number is H32505511. the range includes black and silver dials with bracelets and straps.You'll find it in the Jazzmaster range on the Hamilton website. The price is coming down! Two years ago when it debuted I prayed the $10,500 MSRP would plummet.Within the last few months I have seen it listed (second hand) for an average of low $7,xxx's!!What do you guys think? Could it get as low as the $5,000 range?Opinions on the watch?I have yet to see it in person but to me this could be the one to live with. It ticks so many boxes it's ridiculous!

Incoming for my better half
Well, I finally get to post this incoming for my wife. She eyed this one a while ago and it's finally time for her birthday gift. I've had it hidden away for awhile and did post anything because I didn't want to chance her seeing the post :). I'm just waiting for her to get home. I'm probably just as excited as she will be. Colorful snoopy is watching it carefully. She is a collector of snoopy and a great reason I picked up a silver snoopy for our wedding renewals.

Screwed or Not???
So I finally bought a Daytona and I found myself using my Omega Speedy Mark II Co-Axial more than the Daytona. One of the reason is because of the easy access of the timer start/stop rest buttons on the Speedy. Than it hit me that I don't need to keep the locks on the buttons on the Daytona screwed down unless I'm in water. So the question for Daytona wearers is whether or not you keep your pushers locked (screwed tight) or loosened (unscrewed)?
