F.P.Journe’s Octa UTC is a GMT or two time zone watch that incorporates a patented system to indicate the second time zone using both a traditional second hour hand and an unconventional graphical representation of the Earth showing the 24 standard, full-hour time zones and taking into account summer and winter time. On the dial, the blue hour and minute hands (and the date) indicate the owner’s local time. Once the local time is set, the owner positions the second geographical region – indicated by the colorful globe – on “0” for winter hour. The gold hand, which makes one complete rotation every 24 hours, automatically positions itself at the corresponding time for this region. AP RO for a Daytona - would you trade?
Hi guys,I have a 116520 Daytona, which I like. However, I still cant get over the RO, which was on my shortlist when buying the Daytona.I finally decided to go for the Daytona based on rugged design, good value and the overall look of it (and of course the icon status...)They are about the same price in the pre-loved market (Im thinking about the 116520 vs. AP 15300) so an even trade would be possible I guessOne of the reasons not chosing the AP was the high service cost and the more delicate feel of it (e.g. lower WR and more easily scratched) - but is this true or nothing to worry about?To conlude my long rant - would you trade a Daytona for a Royal Oak?(I guess I will get subjective answers here...)

Everest band and Rolex Clasp repair
Not sure if this is the right place to post this (am sure this OP will get moved if not!). I'm looking to buy an Everest watch strap band for a GMT Master II 16710. I like the black look of the rubber watch strap - feels sporty and a good alternative to the steel bracelet when sports arise, or summer (finally) comes.Question I had was with regards to the clasp which is used for this band. I'm looking to purchase a Rolex Clasp and have found one available in London (UK here) on ebay but this is advertised as broken in the middle according to the salesperson. Two SS in One Day
So this just happened. According to the AD in Guam, one of their regulars had been waitlisted for this BLNR for many months. One unit finally arrived last week, but for some reason the customer backed out. The next day, my cousin was walking around the mall and remembered I had asked her to be on the lookout for a BLNR. She just casually asked if they have one in stock, expecting a hard no, but lo and behold! They have one that they were just about to put on display. I am still in a bit of a shock at this incredibly fortunate find. As my cousin said, it was really meant to be mine.
