IWC IW3767-04 wrist watches news:
At Christie’s Hong Kong sale in May, the first all-aluminium F.P. Journe Centigraphe Sport No 001 sold for an extraordinary US$465,170, close to ten times its original estimate. The sale was to raise funds to aid victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The donation ceremony took place on June 3 at the Swiss Embassy in Tokyo. Gathered for the ceremony were the Ambassador Mr. Urs Bucher, Mr. Fran?ois-Paul Journe, Ms. Yuko Fukagawa from Christie¡¯s Japan, Mr Richard Bliah, founder of the Franco-Japanese FERE foundation, and the representative of M¨¦decins du Monde. With its program ¡®100 maisons pour 100 familles¡¯, the FERE Foundation is constructing temporary anti-seismic wooden houses to relocate families that are victims in the northern city of Tome.Fran?ois-Paul Journe said: ¡°I am tremendously happy that the charity sale of the Centigraphe Sport will contribute to bring relief aid to earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. I sincerely thank all those who have allowed this
Hamilton has been focusing more on new models and less on updating their vintage models. I can't blame them for this strategy. Companies need to look toward the future if they want to grow. However, I look at the Oval and can't help but wonder what a good update could do for this model. Maybe an automatic with an ETA 2895 movement. Would anybody else buy one besides me?
Hi, I am new to watch collecting and have recently acquired a Paul Breguette. The face of the watch is Gold toned with a flip-flop type finish where each quarter looks different depending on the way you look at it and the face is marked "Paul Breguette Automatic, 23 Jewels." The movement is signed "Paul Breguette Watch Co. Inc. Swiss six 6 Jewels in Gyro Unit." Could someone please shed some light to me on this watch. Is it valuable, or just a nice watch I like the feel and look of the watch but I am very curious about it because after searching for hours I can not find an exact match to it or information on any 23 jewel Paul Breguette for that matter, thanks in advance.
Anyone know where I can get these?
Didn't see this coming but was at my AD's today and picked this up. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but these bi-metals are growing on me.Maybe I've hit that age group( no offence to anyone).Could be the bi-metal GMT II next.Don't think there will be anymore incomings for me this year. Who knows what next year will bring.Cheers!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
