Have you ever considered collecting JUST Datejusts?
I have to admit that I've (on more than one ocassion) thought about selling my entire collection and simply collecting DJ's. Think about it! There's so many different variations - different dials, bezels, bracelets...and compared to the sport models, they're relatively cheap! Particularly if you look at vintage DJs....$2000.00 buys a lot of watch in the vintage DJ world. Sure...they're only water resistant to 330ft., but what average Joe needs more than that? I certainly don't. So have you ever thought about?

Unusual observation with a GMT
Hi allnot exactly new, but just now making the migration to the new forum...About two years ago got an Omega 50th anniversary Seamaster GMT (2534.50) for my (surprise!) 50th B'day. It's been a great watch for travel, being one of the true GMT calibres. But after 8 months or so, it started running unacceptably slowlosing 4-6"/day regardless of positionnot enough outside COSC specs to make the hassle of getting it repaired under warranty worthwhile. So it ended up sitting in the case, benched by it's faster brethren. But here's the interesting part: three months ago while preparing for an upcoming European trip, I wound it and set the date using the hour hand advanceand the hour hand was advanced a LOT: about two weeks' worth. Since then, the watch has been spooky accurateeven for an Omega while worn it gains less than 1"/day, and it reliably loses ~2-3"/day while sitting 12 o'clock up. I've always been a big fan of Rolex and I've always coveted a YG Day Date. And still do. I went to an omega boutique and tried on the day date YG constellation and was very impressed. I've kind of been obsessing over it. Does anyone have both and what are your thoughts?
