IWC iw375811 wrist watches news:
Accuracy: its pursuit is the reason watchmaking exists at all, and yet, it's easier to get an argument about date windows started than a discussion about accuracy. Take away watches as everything else that they are – expressions of personal taste or style; collectible rarities; objects of decorative ornamentation; amusing pieces of mechanical ingenuity – and what you have is a machine designed to keep time accurately. What accuracy actually is, however, is not as straightforward as you might think, and with atomic-clock accurate time available just about everywhere, it's useful – if mechanical horology is something that interests you – to look at this single most essential, yet surprisingly little-discussed, feature of watchmaking. 1 OF 6 Accuracy for most of us means one thing: whether or not a watch keeps the same time as whatever we use as a time standard. Generally, nowadays, that means the time provided by a phone; it may also mean the

Man, it's been a while since I posted in the forum here. Hope everyone is doing well. :)I haven't had many "incomings" to post, though I did bring home a Swiss Legend Neptune a few months back which has been my daily-wear companion most days since. I was a bit concerned when buying it online simply because I've never had a 50mm watch before, and was concerned it might be too large. I needn't have worried - fits like a glove, is very comfortable to wear and the size isn't an issue. :)Attachment 24677My return is marked by a purchase. :D Naturally I had to burn off some of the early excitement by sharing the good word here. :)Looks like, by week's end, I'll have a new Stolas Genoa in the drawer. :) Can't wait!Attachment 24678...and it was the video review here on the forum that closed the deal for me. Great looking watch and I'm looking forward to this addition to the herd. Might indulge in a custom strap for this little gem, too:)
I work for a German company and I just found out I will be in Heidelberg for most of the month of April. It's a fairly short drive (About 2 hrs) to Basel, so I thought I would visit on the 5th or 6th. Can I go to the show and can I just dress casually (jeans/Polo shirt)?I'm not in the watch industry and I may never get this chance again, so I'd like to take advantage of it if I can.
Hey all, Need your help on picking a PAM. What does everyone think of the 468? I really like the 44mm size and the pig dial....Is there another model I should be looking at? My current collection consists of a Daytona, DJii, and SubC. Thoughts?
