Well well guys n' gals (English readers over 40 will get the somewhat bleached humour) it's time we put away expensive baubles costing $1000 or even $10000 and shone a light on the budget end of the market.I would like to open a thread on Newmark whose factory in Croydon was in production from 1950 to 1960 and is said to have made around a million watches. Here is an advertising leaflet from 1954........Adverts_0002.jpgDoes anyone have any memories the factory? Or a decent photo of it? Or even know where it was as all trace seems to be lost?Here is the only extremely poor photo I have found......Loius Newmarks factory at Purley Way, Croydon.jpgWe had better get a move on if we are going to record these memories as "sands of time" and all that.It seems the factory limped on as a service centre and probably disappeared some time after 1980Also it would be great to see any photos of their more unusual watches.Here's one to get the ball rolling..........Newmark 1957.jpgThere is mention on
