IWC 3711 wrist watches news:
I have a buddy that has a brand new Panerai Luminor GMT 88 model he's in a tight spot and needs the money is this a good price for this watch? Hr told me $5500 is a "STEAL" Its brand new in the box, with papers, was purchsed from a AD in Vegas 6 months ago. Never worn still have the plastic covers on it?
ITS A SHAME, HERE IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC THE MOST POPULAR LUXURY WATCH BRAND IS CARTIER! FOLLOWED BY MONT BLANC AND MOVADO!!!THE BEST SELLING LOW END BRAND IS SWATCH, NO SEIKO OR INVICTA ARE SEEN IN THE PUBLIC.OF COURSE A FEW ROLEX FOR THE HI SOCIETY.THE NON-FASHION QUALITY ORIENTED WATCH BRANDS LIKE TAG HEUER, OMEGA, BREITLING, IWC, TISSOT ARE ALMOST UNKNOWN HERE IN MY COUNTRY!THIS IS A NON WISS SOCIETY.MY WIFE IS WEARING A TISSOT AUTOMATIC, BUT SHE PREFFERS A QUARTZ GUCCI :eek::eek::eek:
I'm a big Capitals fan and I know that their owner, Ted Leonsis, is a big watch guy. Before I ever got into watches I read a story about how his wife got him this really fancy watch and he just happened to be wearing it one year when the Caps were eliminated by the Lightning in the playoffs, so he banished the watch to a drawer. He even knows that two of his watches (one Rolex and one Bretling) are "undefeated."I'm not quite that bad, but I just started teaching this semester and my first day of classes didn't go all that well (while wearing my Orient) and my second day went incredibly well (wearing my Citizen Calibre 3100) so since then I've been rocking the Citizen every time I teach. It's not like I've banned the Orient. That would be a devastating blow to my "rotation" of two watches. Plus I only teach two days a week so that still allows for plenty of wrist time for my Orient.Does anyone else have habits/superstitions like this or am I crazy? I guess those aren't mutually exclusive
Greetings all,I wanted to share one of my latest acquisitions from my wife's grandfather's watch collection. It is a MIMO German Military Issue watch. I can't find very much information on it, but from what i've gathered, Mimo is a swiss company that bought the majority stock in Girard Perregeaux sometime in the 1930's. Between 1940 and 1942, these MIMO Anti-Magnetic watches (for use in and around tanks i assume) were issued to Nazi soldiers. At the conclusion of the war, MIMO ordered for all service pieces to be destroyed, with numerous reports saying that many were. I don't know how many of this model survived, but my online searches have only revealed two others. Regardless of it's rarity or value, i think it's a great piece of history, and regret that i never got to find out how it was that my wife's grandfather came to own it. I'm sure that's an interesting story as well. I've got a nice olive NATO strap on the way for it to give it that military look, and i intend on wearing it f
Nubuck Gator. Coming from Panerai, have always loved the look. Figure I try it out for the Omega. What do you guys think?
