IWC IWC 1300 wrist watches news:
Last year marked Patek Philippe¡¯s 175th anniversary. What better way to celebrate than with a series of limited-edition timepieces? Why not include the most complicated wristwatch Patek Philippe has ever created? That¡¯s just what they did. Here are ten things you need to know about it. 1. This timepiece ¨C the Grandmaster Chime, Ref. 5175, represents a remarkable effort. More than 100,000 hours over eight years were devoted to development, production, and assembly. The movement alone required 60,000 hours to perfect. The Grandmaster Chime is the most complicated wristwatch Patek Philippe has ever created. 2. The Grandmaster Chime is the first double-face wristwatch presented by Patek Philippe that can be worn with either dial facing up. The case, elaborately engraved in 18k rose gold, measures 47.4 mm in diameter and 16.1 mm in height. The central portion of the case rotates on an axis running from 12 to 6 o¡¯clock. A patented reversing mechanism locks the case firmly in the des
Hey gents,I have a small problem with my Omega Seamaster Chrono 176.005. The gasket between the case and the crystal (the thing that hold the crystal) was gone a couple of days ago. the crystal actually fell out of the case and the gasket/seal came out in parts. took it to my watchmaker and he told me that the gasket actually died due to its age. I'm searching for a new gasket and it seems that OFREI has it, but I'm not sure if that is the right thing to purchase for my watch?link to OFREI's listing of gasketsthanks for reading and thanks for your help in advance!
Today on the way to an after church party, I stopped by costco to pick up some salad. I always look in the watch area because even though they are grey marketThey have an awesome return policy and great CS. (not to mention rock bottom prices!)What came next is my newfound love for the Omega Aqua Terra! :D Now before I get anyone too excited I did not buy anything todaybut I did try it and an Oris onI loved both! Neither are on my to buy list for 2010but they fit the brand category. They both were under 40mm, and for an Oris diver this was cool to me. So the problem I have is, because another purchase I am making this month I just don't have the funds to spend on these two watches! (I think ) But I still want to know how good of a deal these two are so I plan on going back to costco to get some pictures and post them.Perhaps they will still be around by the time I can manage to budget them in!The price difference between the two is about $1000, so if I am able to get one before they ar
Going for a convention thing next week, looks like I may have some free time on my hands. Naples might be doable, but closer would be better.
Mates - I'm seriously considering the 5164 and read many conflicting posts on these topics. Specifically referencing the movement noise, is there anything else detracting about this piece ? I also swim occasionally and it would be nice with this on but I've read about the pushers as a deterrent. I'm sure they are sealed. Finally, how bulky is the piece ? I've owned a 5167 which was thinner and wondering if the size of the 5164 on rubber becomes off centered due to its heft or if it sits as comfortably and flat as my 5167 did. Thanks again for all comments !
